CURRENT:

So to put it lightly, these news organizations and worried mothers and questioning critiques have no idea what this kid has been through, how hardcore he is, or what he is capable of. Regardless, the questions still flow and the doubters still doubt. In reaction to all the publicity his dad has covered his ass by doing research on the event of children and high altitude and has found that these heights have never even been attempted before. If Jordan is successful it will just be one more thing to add to the science books as well as  the record ones.

Follow the youngest climber to ever summit everest.
JORDAN ROMERO.
*
Jordan Romero at 13 years old is in the process of climbing the highest mountain in the world and if this isn't impressive enough he is also going to be the youngest to do it. So far he has caught the attention of CNN, the BBC and ABC news and many others across the globe. The concern of these news organizations is not weather or not he will make it to the top or die trying, but rather more interestingly weather or not his parents are doing a good job parenting him and aiding him in his decision to actually go through with it. This is understandable considering that most parents with children would never dream of sending there kid to the top of the world tallest mountain even for a second. But one thing I think is being over looked is the fact that reaching the top and climbing Everest with in it self is not the goal alone. Rather it is to summit all the 7 highest peaks in the world,  some of which he has already completed. To name a few

100+ New Unclimbed Peaks Opened.

Just recently an article written by Aijaz Hussain, a journalist from the Assosiated press, has been released stating that a count of 100 plus himilayan peaks located in the region of Ladakh ranging from  3,000 meters to 8,000 meters, will now be open to climbing by foreigners. These Peaks have remained unclimbed by nearly everyone with the exception of the locals who have been climbing these remote peaks for decades.

The Indian goverments descision to open these peaks up is partly due to the decline in violence from insurgents in the Indian/Pakastanian region. The other half of this descision is focused on increasing a large decline in Jammu-Kashmir tourism. Officials and town folk believe that this is just the boost to get this area back on the map. In fact the big wigs are planning on calling 2010 "visit Kashmir year".
